The Wealth Report Redux

Last year I created a series of pencil portraits to accompany The Wealth Report, published by KnightFrank in association with CitiBank. This year it's back - and with a new set of columnists illustrated by me, this time in glorious technicolour.

As a Big Brother fan, I would have ventured to guess that the Wealth Report ought perhaps to have been the least likely venue for the countenance of a former BB winner - yet I was pleasantly surprised to be asked to limn the face of the victim of Jade Goody's famous 2007 Oxo cube tirade - Shilpa Shetty (with husband).

Tuesday Update

The sun is shining, work has relaxed a little and I even had a chance this weekend to nip out and do some sketching.

I also recently contributed a few more spot portraits to the New York Times magazine.

Plus I've made my debut in Vanity Fair with these two portraits of famous watchmakers.

Spindle Magazine Issue 5

Last night saw the launch of Issue 5 of Spindle magazine, subtitled ‘the Heritage issue’, to which I contributed a wryly heritage-tinged series of Contributor portraits, plus a column heading for the Editors Letter.

Spindle is a beautiful magazine and there’s never been a better time to check out their current or past issues online thanks to their relaunched website. They’ve provided a strong support to emerging illustrators and designers, both in their print edition and via a series of exhibitions and events. Elsewhere in the current issue, their spotlight article on illustrator Philip Dennis comes highly recommended.
